Troubleshooting: scanning and uploading
The most common problems with scanning and uploading, and what to do.
The scan didn't come out right
- Glass/mirror: don't scan straight at the surface; open mirror doors and scan around the room.
- Dark room: use the flashlight function (requires an updated app).
- White on white: start where there's contrast, often towards the floor.
- Windows read as one: also take photos in the case of dense/thin glazing bars or backlight.
- Remember to close doors and capture all corners.
Upload errors
- «Missing information in the input data»: re-scan the room and make sure to capture the floor, walls and corners.
- Update the app to the latest version.
- Keep the app open until the upload is complete.
Summary/project doesn't appear on the web
On iPhone/iPad you must upload the project manually — it doesn't happen automatically. Upload again and check that the upload completes. On Android it syncs automatically.
Scanning a new room in the project later
If you've exited scanning mode and want to add a new room to the same project later, a common challenge is finding your way back to where you left off, so the new room ends up correctly in the model.
Here's how:
- Open the project again, and under «Innvendig» (Interior) tap «+ Skann flere rom» (+ Scan more rooms).
- You'll get the message «Move to an area that has been scanned before». Go to a room that has already been scanned — ideally with good lighting and clear identifiers, so the phone can recognise unique features.
- Wait until it has relocated its position. It may happen almost immediately, or take a little longer. When the position is found, the message disappears.
- Go to the room you want to scan, close the door and tap «Start». Then you're up and running.
Note: If you can't solve it, contact hello@wennproperty.no and give the project/address.
