Create a report from an inspection with AI (the Inspection Assistant)

With the Inspection Assistant you speak your observations during the inspection, and the AI automatically creates a finished, structured inspection note. It works the same on both iPhone/iPad and Android.

Two methods

Speech-to-text per room: the microphone in the note writes down what you say, word for word.
Voice recording for the whole inspection: records as you walk and creates a summary — not a word-for-word transcription.

How to use voice recording for the whole inspection

Start a new inspection in the app.
When you ring the customer's doorbell and start the inspection, tap «Ta opp lydnotat» (Record voice note). The recording runs in the background and listens as you carry out the inspection.
Speak freely about what you see — room by room or for the whole property: colours, damage, condition and work to be done.
When you're finished (max 90 minutes), tap the same button once more to stop the recording.
The AI starts transcribing. After a short while you get a finished, sorted and transcribed inspection note.

Automatic sorting

The AI keeps what's relevant for the renovation, extension or project, and automatically filters out what doesn't belong in the report — like talk about the football match or purely private matters.

How to use the note afterwards

The note is loaded straight into the inspection and is available as a «Notat» (Note) in the web application, together with the rest of the information.
You can copy relevant information on to the individual rooms.
Then you can use AI to fill in a work description automatically based on the inspection data.

Privacy — important to know, and to tell the customer

No one has access to the actual audio recording. The system only creates a summary, including what's relevant for the job (irrelevant chatter is filtered out). With several voices, they're labelled «person 1», «person 2» — there's no voice recognition. The audio recording is deleted after transcription, in line with GDPR. It's a good idea to tell the customer this before you start recording.

Practical tips

Hold the phone as if you were on speakerphone.
Max 90 minutes per recording — if you need more, start a new recording.
It helps to summarise out loud room by room and confirm decisions as you go — it gives a better summary.
Works independently of 3D scanning — use it alone or together with a 3D model (LiDAR scan or drawn floor plan).
