Multiple floors — scanning and organising buildings with several storeys
How to scan and organise inspections in buildings with several floors, and what to do if the floors «merge into each other».
How to scan multiple floors
- Finish all the rooms on the floor you're on before you move on.
- Go to the next floor and start a new scan there.
- Don't scan while walking stairs — finish the scan before you change floor.
The app organises the floors automatically as you scan.
How the floors appear in the web app
In the web application you select the floor in the left sidebar. The rooms sit under the floor they belong to, so you can easily navigate between storeys.
«The floors merge into each other» — what do I do?
The most common cause is that scanning continued while moving between floors (for example on the stairs). Avoid this by finishing and ending the scan for each floor separately, and starting a new scan on the next floor.
It's not possible to move a room to another floor. If something is registered incorrectly, you can instead:
- Delete individual rooms and re-scan them. Remove the incorrectly registered room from the room list and re-scan the room in the app.
- Create an updated floor plan as a new project. Use the drawing tool in the web app to draw the layout the way you want it.
