Outdoor areas — photos and documentation
Note — iPhone/iPad vs Android: On iPhone/iPad, scans are stored locally and you must upload the inspection manually (one-way app → web). On Android, everything syncs automatically to the web — you should not upload or delete inspections manually.
In addition to the automatic measurements for roofs and walls, you can document outdoor areas with photos and notes — both in the inspection app and in the web app. That way you get everything in one place.
What are outdoor areas?
Outdoor areas are parts of the property that aren't 3D-scanned but that you still want to document. Typical examples are the facade, a shed, terrace, garage or garden.
The areas are shown under «Utside» (Exterior) in the left navigation, together with building data for roofs and walls.
Adding outdoor areas
You can add new outdoor areas both from the inspection app (iOS) and from the web app:
- In the left navigation, tap «+ Legg til utendørsområde» (+ Add outdoor area) under «Utside»
- Give the area a descriptive name (e.g. «Facade north», «Shed under terrace»)
- The area is created immediately and is ready for photos and notes
Photos
When you select an outdoor area, you can add photos via the «Bilder» (Photos) tab in the info panel on the right. Use this to document the condition of the facade, roof, outdoor spaces and other relevant details.
Photos can be uploaded from the camera roll or taken directly in the inspection app.
Notes
Under the «Notater» (Notes) tab you can add free-text notes for each outdoor area. You can also use automatic summary with a voice recording if you prefer to dictate your observations.

- Outdoor areas have no 3D scan — they're documented with photos and notes
- You can add as many areas as you need
- Photos and notes sync between the app and the web app
- Everything you add is available in the PDF report and when sharing the project
